MARK THOMPSON, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT, CAPALINO+COMPANY

What is your favorite place in New York?
The Frick Museum- an iconic symbol of New York City.

If you could have dinner with one NYC legend, who would it be?
Ed Koch. He was my first boss and an extremely interesting individual. I would love to have the opportunity to speak with him again about how he views certain developments in New York City.

What is your proudest accomplishment?
Working with the Museum of Chinese in America. We were able to see each step of the development from the beginning to the end of the project.

What’s your favorite thing to do in NYC?
Explore different neighborhoods. I often take the subway to an area I have never visited to walk around, explore and eat. It’s a great way to get to know the vastly differentiated and growing neighborhoods of New York.

What is the biggest thing that excites you about coming to work every day?
That I am able to help make good things happen for the people of New York City. We help to create action and opportunities in order to make things happen for people who otherwise couldn’t.
