Capalino Insider: Q&A with Ashley Thompson DiNardo, Senior Vice President, Legislative + Political Affairs

What do you specialize in at Capalino?

I co-lead our Legislative and Political Affairs practice group. Specifically, I work with corporate, non-profit, and real estate clients to support their advocacy efforts around public policy and public-sector funding. Additionally, I help clients build relationships with key stakeholders, both in government and in the communities they serve.

What is your favorite place in NYC, and why?

Brooklyn Bridge Park, particularly in the morning when it seems like the only people out there are other runners. The view from the piers of the Manhattan skyline will never get old.

What’s the biggest thing that excites you about coming to work every day?

I’m excited by the opportunity to work on interesting issues and projects that have meaningful impacts on peoples’ lives. As a bonus, I get to work with smart and creative colleagues who teach me something new every day.

What’s one thing nobody knows about you?

I’m left-handed.

If you could live in any other city besides NYC, where would it be?

I can’t imagine leaving New York City, but as a lifelong Red Sox fan, I would have to choose Boston.
