Capalino Works with Science and Arts Engagement New York (SAENY) and CCNY to Launch DUNK! The Science of Basketball Exhibit

Over the past two years, Capalino has supported the launch of Science and Arts Engagement New York, Inc. (SAENY) – a not for profit organization created by science professors at the City University of New York to spur the interest of young people, especially those of color and women, in the Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) fields.

The City College of New York is collaborating with SAENY in developing a science gallery in Harlem, which will host interactive exhibits that demonstrate how science is related to everyday life.

In advance of its permanent home being built, SAENY and City College are launching a series of pop up exhibits- the first of which — DUNK! The Science of Basketball – opened March 15, 2018 in a storefront made available by The Janus Property Group at 461 W. 126th Street. While local middle and high schools students are the primary target audience, the exhibit is also open to the general public (free) through April 15.
