What we got done
Capalino helped NYAM raise $1 million in capital funds to upgrade their facility. Capalino also provided crucial guidance on creating a one-of-a-kind partnership with the Mayor’s Office and the New York City Council: the Age-Friendly NYC Initiative. This initiative supported the aging population of the city through four key areas: community and civic participation, housing, public spaces and transportation, and health and social services. The initiative’s research identified 53 ways to make the City more accessible to seniors, and in 2015 Capalino helped raise $420K to create Aging Improvement Districts and a task force to implement recommendations.
