Capalino was instrumental in the creation of the High Line park since the early days, from advocating for City support to securing hundreds of millions in funding for the construction and operations of the park. Called the most successful urban renewal and economic development project in decades, the High Line has transformed NYC and become an inspiration to other cities for its extraordinary use of public space and “greening” the urban environment.
