Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5 Uplands Landscape
April 27, 2015– BBP is in the process of constructing an eighty-five (85) acre waterfront park in Brooklyn, NY, which involves the construction of the Pier 5 Uplands landscape. The Pier 5 Upland site includes the creation of new lawns, planting beds, a grove and a sound attenuating berm to be constructed along the length of Furman Street. The Pier 5 Upland landscape scope will also include the widening of Montague Street to create a drop-off area to the park and new sidewalks along Montague Street and Furman Street.
The Pier 5 Uplands is currently a largely paved area which is also home to 334 Furman Street, the offices of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation and Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy, and Building #56, a former Port Authority building currently in use by BBP as a Maintenance and Operations (M and O) Facility. 334 Furman Street, at the corner of Furman Street and Joralemon, will remain occupied during the duration of the Pier 5 Uplands landscape construction. Building #56 is scheduled for demolition prior to commencement of construction for the Pier 5 Uplands landscape. Additionally, two new buildings, an M and O Facility and a Boathouse (BH), will be constructed during construction of the Pier 5 Uplands landscape and will be bid out in a separate RFP. The Maintenance and Operations Building and Boathouse scope are NOT part of this RFP.

Citywide Ferry Service Barges, Consultant Services RFP
April 30, 2015– The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is seeking a consultant or consultant team to fabricate barges for use in the implementation of the Citywide Ferry Service Program. It is expected that implementing the Citywide Ferry Service Program will require the construction of several new ferry landings and upgrades to some existing landings. It is anticipated that the new ferry landings would feature a barge, a gangway, ticket machine(s), lighting, trash receptacles, bicycle parking and passenger shelters. Some ferry landing projects may require more extensive infrastructure, including bulkhead and/or pier construction.
NYCEDC plans to select a consultant on the basis of factors stated in the RFP which include, but are not limited to: the quality of the proposal, experience of key staff identified in the proposal, experience and quality of any subcontractors proposed, demonstrated successful experience in performing services similar to those encompassed in the RFP, and the proposed fee.

168th Street Redevelopment
April 30, 2015– NYCEDC seeks proposals (“Proposals”, each a “Proposal”) from qualified developers (“Respondents”, each a “Respondent”) for the purchase and redevelopment of an approximately 59,500 square foot lot located in the eastern part of Downtown Jamaica, Queens on the northeast corner of 93rd Avenue and 168th Street (the “Project”). It is bounded by Jamaica Avenue to the north, 169th Street to the east, 93rd Avenue to the south, and 168th Street to the west. The Site, on Block 10209, Lot 115 (the “Site”), is owned by the City of New York (the “City”).
The Project is an opportunity to create a thriving mixed-use, mixed-income development with an affordable housing program consistent with the vision set forth in Housing New York and which contributes to the City’s goal of fostering economically diverse neighborhoods.
NYCEDC plans to evaluate Respondents on the basis of factors stated in the RFP which include, but are not limited to: the quality of the Proposal, experience of key staff identified in the Proposal, demonstrated successful experience completing similar projects, and the Proposal’s economic impact on the City.

JFK North RFEI
May 4, 2015– New York City Economic Development Corporation (“NYCEDC”) seeks proposals (“Proposals,” each a “Proposal”) from qualified developers (“Respondents,” each a “Respondent”) for the purchase or lease and redevelopment (the “Project”) of an approximately seven (7) acre parcel in Springfield Gardens, Queens (the “Site”) owned by the City of New York (the “City”) and located near JFK International Airport. The Project offers a unique opportunity to develop a commercial and/or industrial building on a very large vacant parcel adjacent to the Airport. Through this Request for Expressions of Interest (“RFEI”), NYCEDC is seeking users and/or developers to redevelop the Site for industrial and/or commercial use. Given the Site’s 7 acre size, Respondents have the opportunity to create a modern campus plan with industrial and/or commercial programming that supports job-intensive uses and attracts both established and growing businesses.
The seven (7) acre Site is part of Queens Tax Block 14260 Lot 1. The irregularly shaped Site is bound to the north by Rockaway Boulevard, to the south by Nassau Expressway and to the west by the Federal Aviation Administration (“FAA”) office building. The Site is located in the Queens neighborhood of Springfield Gardens, which contains one of the air cargo industry’s largest concentrations of customs brokers and freight forwarders, numerous other Airport related industrial facilities, residences, and retail uses. The Site is bounded by Rockaway Blvd to the North, and the Nassau Expressway to the South.
This RFEI is not intended as a formal offering for a future negotiated transaction. However, NYCEDC reserves the right to select a developer or developers for all or any portion of the Site on the basis of the responses to this RFEI without further process. St. Ann’s Avenue/ East 142nd Street RFP
May 22, 2015– The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) invites developers to submit proposals for a new construction project in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. The Site is owned by the City of New York and located at the intersection of St. Ann’s Avenue and East 142nd Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx within Community District 1 (Block 2268, Lots 23-30, 32). The goal is to develop a mixed-income development that will expand affordable housing opportunities in the neighborhood. June 6, 2015– New York City Economic Development Corporation (“NYCEDC”) has a strong history of supporting entrepreneurs in launching early-stage companies, including a network of incubators across the five boroughs of New York City (“NYC”). These facilities have helped foster early-stage startups, centralize the community, and bring educational programming to New Yorkers. As startup companies grow, NYCEDC has identified an unmet need to provide resources to growth-stage companies and enabling organizations that are crucial to transforming the sector’s ecosystem into a leading hub for urban innovation.
NYCEDC, acting on behalf of the City of New York (the “City”), is seeking an Operator (the “Operator”) with a large entrepreneurship network, proven business-development success, and experience with securing and managing real estate to develop and launch the Urban Technology Growth Hub (the “Hub”). The Hub will be dedicated to growth stage companies that address the city’s most pressing urban challenges, including, but not limited to, the clean technology, energy, infrastructure, and smart cities sectors. Specifically, the space will serve three primary functions; dedicated sector workspace, a co-located or adjacent prototyping and testing facility, and shared support services (e.g. demonstration space, mentorship, community building). Ultimately the Hub will provide a home for urban technology startups to further develop collaboration, innovation, and successful growth in NYC.

Ferry Operator, Citywide Ferry System RFP
June 12, 2015– New York City Economic Development Corporation (“NYCEDC”) is seeking proposals from qualified ferry operators, individually or as team, to operate a passenger ferry service. NYCEDC is seeking proposals that will achieve the objectives of a safe system, 2017 and 2018 service launch, and unified customer service experience. The new system will consist of the following routes: Rockaway, South Brooklyn, Astoria, Soundview, and Lower East Side. Both domestic and international businesses and institutions responding to this request for proposals (“RFP”) must be able to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations for operating a passenger ferry. The system will provide transportation equity and access to waterfront communities.

Universal Pre-kindergarten Services For 2015-2018
December 31, 2015– The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), on behalf of the Division of Early Childhood Education (DECE), will release an open-ended Request for Proposals (RFP) for Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) Services for 2015-2018.
The RFP will be for the provision of Full-Day UPK services to four-year-olds. Vendors must provide a consistent weekly schedule for 31 hours and 40 minutes per week, at least five days per week, for 180 days of the school year. Proposals will be accepted for underserved areas of the City.
